Village Roadshow is proud to be a caring and responsible business. From how we care for the animals in our parks, to how we care for animals in the wild, to the well-being of our people and creating more engaging accessible experiences for our guests.

We are fortunate to help create happy memories and be part of something that brings people joy. We make our guest experience truly exceptional whether it’s a night out in Gold Class Cinemas, cuddling a koala at Paradise Country or a family holiday at Sea World Resort. With millions of visitors to our parks and cinemas every year, we also have the opportunity to educate and inspire our guests on a range of important issues such as protecting critically endangered species, the importance of conservation and the rich history of our First Nations peoples.

We have a lot to be proud of across our diverse business including: the incredible work of the Sea World Foundation - rescuing and rehabilitating hundreds of injured marine animals each year, our investment in employee engagement and growth, and our recycling and food waste program.

Village Roadshow completed its first formalised environmental, social and governance (ESG) materiality assessment in 2023 to understand the areas of greatest significance and impact according to our stakeholders and businesses using the double materiality method.

Responsibility and governance for ESG is embedded across key Executives. ESG is a standing agenda item at meetings held by the Enterprise Risk & Governance Committee.

We report against various frameworks and standards including the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our materiality was assessed with input from subject matter experts, divisional representatives, leadership and key stakeholders throughout the business before being finalised and approved by our Executive and Board.
