Our Company

Founded by the late Roc Kirby in 1954 in Melbourne, Australia with a drive-in cinema, Village Roadshow is a proud family legacy business. Roc’s son, Robert Kirby is our Executive Chairman and his grandson, Clark Kirby is our CEO.
Village Roadshow was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: VRL) from 1988 until 2020. Our corporate Head Office is located in Melbourne, our Theme Parks Head Office is in the Gold Coast and we also have smaller offices in Sydney and London.
Village Roadshow Theme Parks is Australia’s largest theme park operator. We are proud to be the home of Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Wet’n’Wild, Topgolf, Paradise Country, Australian Outback Spectacular and Sea World Resort, a 400 plus room hotel adjacent to Sea World.
We also operate the largest film and television production studio lot in the Southern Hemisphere at Village Roadshow Studios.
Our Village Entertainment brand hosts our Village Cinemas and Intencity businesses. Village Cinemas is one of Australia’s largest cinema operators with brands including Gold Class, VMax and VJunior, and combined with joint venture partner EVT Limited has approximately 600 screens across 58 sites throughout Australia. Intencity stands at the forefront of arcade entertainment, offering a vibrant mix of classic and contemporary video games, ticket and prize challenges that promise non-stop fun for people of all ages.
Roadshow Films is Australia’s leading independent film distributor; producing and distributing acclaimed film and television releases in Australia and New Zealand for over fifty years.
Through Opia, a marketing solutions business, Village Roadshow also has a presence in the UK, US, Europe and South Africa.
